Liberty’s engineering staff provides our clients with a technical resource to solve environmental issues. Our environmental engineers can provide field diagnostics, troubleshooting support, design and engineering for new and retrofit projects, and project management for environmental control and treatment equipment projects. Our senior engineers can manage all phases of environmental equipment projects.
Diagnostics and Troubleshooting
Liberty’s engineers have extensive hands-on experience with environmental control and treatment equipment. Our field engineers can provide diagnostic and troubleshooting services for underperforming or malfunctioning environmental equipment. Liberty can provide field testing for fluid systems, electrical power and electrical control systems. Our field staff can provide oversight of pressure and leak testing of fluid systems, fan alignment, balancing and vibration analysis for rotating equipment, sensor calibrations, control loop tuning and a full check out for system warnings and alarms.
Liberty provides oversight for compliance testing and discharge characterization. Our field service group can provide field measurement and sampling for air, water and soils. Our knowledge and experience with field testing is integral to insuring a coherent strategy and plan for permitting, equipment design, installation, and ongoing compliance demonstration.

Engineering and Design
Liberty’s staff can provide engineering and design for new environmental equipment installations and existing equipment modifications and enhancements. Our staff has successfully designed and installed groundwater pump-and-treat systems, trickling filters, carbon filters, air strippers, scrubbers, thermal and catalytic oxidizers, fabric filters, cyclones, mechanical filters and continuous emission monitors. Our engineers also have extensive experience with systems related to end-of-process control equipment such as ductwork, fans, pumps, chillers, heat exchangers, compressed air dryers, heaters, screw conveyors, rotary airlocks and pneumatic conveying systems.
Our engineers work closely with clients through all steps of equipment projects including preliminary engineering and design, project costing, specification development, bidding and procurement, construction management, commissioning and on-going maintenance. Our clients include small manufacturers, Fortune 500 companies and commercial clients. Our engineers have completed successful installations across a variety of industrial and commercial sectors including retail gasoline distribution, printing, secondary aluminum facilities, bakeries, auto-body shops, and public libraries.

Construction Management
Liberty’s engineers have a depth of experience overseeing and managing the construction phase of pollution equipment projects. Our construction group manages and coordinates projects to ensure that work is conducted safely, performed on schedule and within budget. Our field groups are trained to work with and manage civil, structural, mechanical and electrical contractors. Our construction managers have extensive site safety and OSHA training and are experienced with managing both union and non-union labor.

Start-up and Commissioning
Liberty’s field engineers provide start-up and commissioning services for new and modified environmental equipment. Liberty’s field group can perform and coordinate fluid leak checks, tune and calibrate sensors, perform alignment and vibration checks for rotating equipment and verify equipment communications. Liberty has extensive experience with post start-up O&M training for on-site and corporate technical staff. Our field group can develop measurement and record keeping requirements for environmental equipment users, plant maintenance and equipment service contractors. Our field engineers can develop hard copy documentation and software for maintenance and planners at manufacturing facilities.
