DAY 1 (Tuesday, December 8, 2020) Right-to-Know and Air Quality

11 am: Right-to-Know, TRI/Form R and Tier II Reporting – Join us for a deep dive into the EPCRA planning, reporting, and notification requirements. Following a brief review of the history of EPCRA to understand the importance of the program, we’ll be focusing on Tier II and TRI reporting. Our discussion will include common errors, often overlooked chemicals and newly regulated chemicals for RY 2020. Presenter: Katie Cirone, PE of Liberty Environmental

12 noon: Air Quality Permitting What triggers the need for an air permit application? This presentation will start with the basics but quickly delve into the details, exploring Request for Determination vs. Plan Approval. We will talk about how to make your permit as simple as possible, right-sized permits, major vs. minor, and the new fee schedule in PA. DAY 2 (Wednesday, December 9, 2020) Industrial Stormwater, Spill Prevention Planning and Waste Management

11 am: Industrial Stormwater and Spill Prevention Planning – When is an industrial stormwater permit required? How do you secure a non-exposure certification to avoid permitting? This presentation will address these questions and more. We will also review commonly elevated pollutants found in stormwater samples and discuss how they can be addressed through Best Management Practices. Attendees will walk through the preparation of a compliant Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan and gain an understanding of the intergration of this plan with other required plans. 12 noon: Waste Management: A discussion on hazardous waste determination and recordkeeping. We’ll review who can make the hazardous waste determination and the steps needed to make one. We’ll also discuss recordkeeping and its value for small and large quality waste generators, including identifying hazardous waste numbers for small and large quantity generators. Presented by Dave Skrocki and Jamie Caron of Elk Environmental Services

DAY 3: (Thursday, December 10, 2020) Safety, Presented by Jamie Caron of Elk Environmental Services

11 am: Introduction to OSHA & HAZCOMA general discussion about how and why OSHA may come to your site and what you as an employer can do to be prepared for the visit. Also, HAZCOM is one of the most-cited standards by CSHO’s over the past 5 years; we will discuss the importance of proper labels and what needs to be labeled.

12 noon: Machine Guarding in Manufacturing – A discussion about why machine guarding is needed. Any machine part, function, or process that may cause injury must be safeguarded. When the operation of a machine or accidental contact injures the operator or others in the vicinity, the hazards must be eliminated or controlled. We will discuss what OSHA looks for and what you can do to provide a safe workplace.

12:30 pm: Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) – What does OSHA say about PPE? Who needs it, when do they need it, who pays for it, and can employees share PPE? We will discuss what your options are as an employer and what your employees need to know.
