Welcome 2013 Environmental Science and Engineering Interns!
This year we are pleased to welcome two interns in our corporate office in Reading, PA. Intern Kathleen “Kay” Stinley has returned for a second summer with Liberty. Kay is joined by Kaitlin Kimmel of Wyomissing, PA.
Kaitlin graduated from Albright College in May 2013 with a B.S. in Environmental Science and Mathematics. She will attend Saint Joseph’s University in the fall to pursue a master’s in Biology.
Kaitlin sought an internship with Liberty to gain experience in a corporate setting in an effort to help determine her career path after completion of her master’s degree. She was intrigued by the variety of services offered and the prospect of applying her classroom knowledge to help solve real environmental problems.
“My favorite part of the internship thus far has been all the opportunities that I have had to go out in the field with different people at Liberty. I like learning about the different aspects of the company from wetlands delineation, to Phase I site assessments, to gas station site monitoring. Everyone I have worked with is enthusiastic about their job, and they are able to offer me a lot of information about what they do and what being a consultant means to them”, shared Kaitlin.
