Liberty Environmental Receives Pennsylvania Brownfield Redevelopment Award

Erie, PA: This year’s 2015 Pennsylvania Brownfields Conference event celebrated 20 years of the Pennsylvania Land Recycling Act (Act 2). As part of the celebration, a Best of Act 2 contest was held to recognize projects completed in the 20 year history of the program. Liberty’s winning entry was in the category “What a Gas”, which recognized the best use of a petroleum site, for which we submitted the redevelopment of the Lincoln Highway Garage in York by Turkey Hill.

Since the firm was founded in 2004, Liberty has brought more than 100 sites to closure under various state cleanup programs.
