Experienced Environmental Scientist/Geologist in Lancaster or Reading, PA

Liberty Environmental is looking for a flexible and self-motivated team member with a minimum of five years of experience, preferably 5 to 10 years of experience, in the performance of storage tank compliance, site investigations and remedial planning services.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of five years in environmental consulting with a specialization in site investigation and site remediation in Pennsylvania
  • Demonstrated understanding of Pennsylvania environmental regulations, direct experience in storage tank and voluntary site remediation programs including Pa Code Chapter 245 –Administration of the Storage Tank and Spill Prevention Program and Chapter 250 – Administration of the Land Recycling Program
  • Ability to successfully utilize groundwater flow/fate-and-transport modeling software
  • Skills to execute successful site remediation investigation, design, and implementation.
  • Demonstrated excellence in technical report writing, data reduction, and analysis.
  • Geologist-in-Training or Professional Geologist license in Pennsylvania

  • Excellent and effective written/verbal communication and organization/analytical skills
  • Ability to work on multiple projects at one time, maintain flexibility, travel, and work independently with minimal supervision
  • Experience managing schedule, scope, and project budgets, including staff and subcontractors
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) at an advanced level
  • Related four-year degree in geology, hydrogeology or earth sciences field
  • Valid driver’s license and daily transportation

Experienced Wetland Scientist in Reading or Lancaster, PA

Liberty Environmental is looking for a flexible and self-motivated team member with a minimum of five years of experience as an environmental scientist to join our natural resources practice.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of five years in environmental consulting with a specialization in wetland presence/absence assessment, delineation, mitigation, and post-construction monitoring
  • Experience in conducting threatened and endangered species surveys and ecological assessments
  • Demonstrated understanding of Pennsylvania environmental regulations, direct experience in natural resources permitting programs including use of the aquatic resource compensation tool
  • Demonstrated excellence in technical report writing, data reduction, and analysis.
  • Professional Wetland Scientist or other wetland certifications desired
  • Pennsylvania Qualified Bog Turtle Surveyor desired

Successful candidates will need:

  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Excellent and effective written/verbal communication and organization/analytical skills
  • Ability to work on multiple projects at one time, maintain flexibility, travel, and work independently with minimal supervision
  • Experience managing schedule, scope, and project budgets
  • Proficiency with GPS mapping technologies and Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook) at an advanced level
  • Related four-year environmental science degree and thorough knowledge of soils, vegetation, and hydrology
  • Valid driver’s license

Environmental Engineer – Environmental Permitting and Design

Liberty Environmental is looking for a flexible and self-motivated team member with a minimum of 2 years of experience, preferably 5 to 10 years of experience, in the performance of water supply system design, stormwater management, erosion control, stormwater and wastewater permitting, and preparation of spill prevention (SPCC/PPC) plans.

Successful candidates will need:

  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Excellent and effective written/verbal communication and organization/analytical skills
  • Experience in recording/writing detailed technical data and reports
  • Ability to work on multiple projects at one time, maintain flexibility, travel, and work independently with minimal supervision
  • Experience managing schedule, scope, and project budgets, including staff and subcontractors
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook and Access) at an advanced level
  • Related four-year engineering degree
  • Valid driver’s license and daily transportation

Operations Internship

Our past few interns were so fantastic that we realized we should not limit this experience to the summer months. Liberty Environmental is accepting applications for the Fall Semester from business administration, marketing, or management majors to assist in special projects with our firm operations and business relations team. The ideal candidate would be a junior or senor in a local college who could dedicate 6-10 hours per week to work in our office located in downtown Reading.
